Banana Chips

INGREDIENTS FOR BANANA CHIPS

2 unripe bananas (green bananas)
½ tsp salt
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp turmeric powder
Enough water for soaking
vegetable oil or refined oil

PREPARATION OF BANANA

Peel off the bananas and put them in a bowl full of water before slicing. Cut thin slice of the bananas and put them again in a bowl of water, rub gently to remove the sap. Rub twice and change the water each time. Mix salt, baking soda, and turmeric powder with water, mix until it properly in dissolved water. Add the banana slices to the turmeric solution and soak it for 15 minutes. Drain the banana slices using a strainer then transfer it into a bowl. Make it dry by wrapping in a cotton cloth to absorb extra water or moisture.

FRYING OF BANANA SLICE

You can deep fry the banana slice to make it chips.Fry properly to make it crunchy.It should be fry on medium flame.
You can also make it in Air Fryer basket.Put the banana slice in the Air Fryer basket in a proper sequence. Place the basket in the air fryer, select the mode, set the temperature and the time and one the equipment. After few minutes, press pause and remove the basket, flip all the banana slices, then put them back in the air fryer and again continue it.It done in next few minutes, transfer the banana chips in a plate or bowl. Let them cool down then enjoy it .

STORING TIME FOR BANANA CHIPS

As it did not contain any moisture or water,it will not spoil .So , you store it for a while approx 2 to 3 weeks.It should be kept in a tight container to avoid oxidation.It also prevent it to become soft due to air.
